Let's tone up! For just a £200 a year one off payment (with a £30 joining fee for new members) you can get unlimited use of our fitness suite 'Arena Gym', which has the latest 'Cybex' treadmills, bikes & Arcs. So if you're looking to tone up those muscles, build on your physique or generally improve your fitness come & have a look at the Arena Gym, our state-of-the-art fitness suite. It is well equipped with over 35 workout stations including treadmills, free weights, steppers, bikes, arcs, rowers & conditioning equipment.

For those who do not like machines we also have a free weight area. The TV and music system will keep you company & inspire you to reach greater heights. For those of you who pay a one-off yearly fee or pay by direct debit & would like to record their progress why not arrange a FREE fitness programme with our fully qualified fitness instructors. (ask at reception for booking details)

For Induction times please contact Reception

Before you can use the Arena Gym you will need to attend an induction course which will enable you to use our equipment. Our staff will take you through the equipment step by step, explaining the safe and effective ways to train. Basic exercise principles will be explained and personalised programmes can be provided to maximise your benefits. Please book in advance, as numbers are limited on our induction courses.

Remember if you use the Arena Gym why not relax your aching body & take advantage of using our Sauna & Steamroom at no extra cost.

How much does it cost?

There are various payment options for joining the fitness suite including the Sauna & Steamroom, including:

Pay-as-you-go (casual)

After the initial £10.00 induction fee which includes your Induction, if you are not sure you want to commit for a month or year, you can 'pay-as-you-go', just £4.00 per session or £3.00 if you can claim any concessionary discount*

Monthly (Direct Debit) (No minimum period just stop when you want)

This is good value for money if you are going to use the Arena Gym regularly. You get your induction, unlimited use of the gym, unlimited use of the Sauna & Steamroom. Also, you automatically become a member of the whole Arena Sports Centre, giving you even more benefits. Payment is easy just complete a direct debit form at Reception, then on the 20th of each month £25 (£18.75 for concessionary*) will be taken from your bank account. There is an initial amount payable (to take you to the 20th of the month) at the time of joining which is variable depending on the first day of the membership. Finally for new direct debit members a £30.00 one-off joining fee.
Couples can also take advantage of the offer-just £43.00 per month with a one-off £60 joining fee.

Yearly unlimited use (One off payment)

This is a great deal! You can commit a years-unlimited use of the Arena Gym by paying a lump sum before the first session. You get your induction, unlimited use of the gym, unlimited use of the Sauna & Steamroom. Also, you automatically become a member of the whole Arena Sports Centre, giving you even more benefits. The cost only £200.00 for the year plus a one-off joining fee of £30.00.

*One-Off joining fee applicable – this is only payable once on condition the membership does not lapse. You may switch between the direct debit & one-off payment without paying the joining fee.

Who is concessionary?

The discount applies to full-time students, over 60 year olds, people receiving job seekers allowance, unemployment benefit and disability working allowance. Written proof will be required on booking. Periodical checks will be made on concessionary users.
