Basketball

We have three indoor basketball courts, all courts are in our double sprung main hall, including one National League court, which has tiered seating for 600 spectators as well as electronic scoreboard & 24 second shot clock.

We run our own courses for juniors from beginners who do not need to any knowledge of the game through to advanced juniors who can dribble, shoot, lay-up & defend. It is an excellent game with a fantastically experienced coach.

All charges per hour unless otherwise stated & non-members do not have to pay an admission to the Arena Membership just £20.00 for adults, £10.00 for juniors & concessionary groups. We have basketball clubs of all standards, ages & abilities who are based or train at the Arena Sports Centre, who are actively looking for new players they are:

Bognor 'Pirates' our National League Men's Basketball Team. They play their home games on Saturday evenings starting at 7pm & train on Tuesday nights. For the next home game please see Reception or click here to visit their website. It's a great night out for all the family! Also, they have a local league team who play in the Sussex League!

Bognor Royals Junior Basketball Club (school years 4-10) The club meets most Sundays from 4.00-6.00pm; it is for all abilities school years 4 - 10. It runs under 11, 12, 14 & 16 squads in the Sussex Youth League. For more details contact Hilary on 01243 264821. It's great fun and great value. It costs £3.00 per session with a £15 annual membership fee.

Amazons Girl's Basketball Club (ages 12 & over) The resident girl's basketball club are the Amazons, for Club membership it is £5.00 then it's only £2.00 per week or £10 per half term. They run on Tuesday nights, 7.00-8.30pm.

Jetts Ladies Basketball - Pay & Play (over 14's) Jetts is a social drop-in basketball session for the over 14's and ladies of any abilities. So come down on a Monday from 6.30-8.00. First session is free then only £2.00 per week. The emphasis is on having fun whilst getting fit.
