Climbing

What is a climbing wall?

Climbing walls are a great way to get stronger and to start climbing in a friendly environment. They are a great way to keep fit over the winter and also great for new climbers as we offer many different courses on climbing for all levels. Our wall is one of the largest in Southeast England with overhangs, traversing wall, & being over 9 metres high it can challenge all ages & abilities. We also have over 50 metres of bouldering walls.

Can anyone climb?

We strongly recommend that everyone attends an Introductory two hour climbing course. However, if you are over 18 years old & have climbed before you can climb without instruction (Instructors must be booked in advance). For under 18 year olds then they must be accompanied by an adult (one adult can only be responsible for a maximum of two under 18 year olds per climb). However, any 16 & 17 year old experienced climbers can climb, but they must be assessed for their ability with one of our Instructors before they are allowed to climb here, this also has to be booked in advance.

We also cater for groups to climb. For a small charge we will provide an instructor & equipment and all you do is come and climb! Group bookings must be made in advance. We also run courses for juniors to learn to play click here for more details.

All users of the Climbing Wall must read the Code of Conduct and sign a Disclaimer before using the Wall
